Every time I try to play a video file, I get no sound and the video just stops at the end even though all my players are set to loop. I'm also seeing my ac3 and ffdshow icons appearing in the taskbar even though they don't usually appear. Can someone help me? My audio works fine otherwise. I'm able to watch videos on YouTube, just not in any of my media players. I just bought and installed SolveigMM Video Splitter and the problem started shortly after so I'm guessing that has something to do with it.
My video screensaver program is also affected. The video plays but no audio and it just stops at the end so I just get a still frame until I exit the screensaver.

Does it work with VLC media player (it uses built-in audio decoders and not ffdshow)?
Or else try uninstall ffdshow and just use lav filters. -
