    Hi all,

I am currently using VidCoder for creating lowres video files, but recently found out that it can't not create constant frame rate for 23.976fr video.
It always creates variable framerate what makes it very difficult for creating srt files.

I am looking for another freeware software- can be based on ffmpeg that is user friendly and knows how to preserve original aspect ratio for variable files in one batch.

    Ideas?

Xmediarecode, Handbrake, FFQueue - look at those and see if you find something that suits your needs
I'm the developer behind FFQueue. My posts might reflect this! ;-)

Not true. It has an option for constant framerate.

Why? SRT files are time based not frame based like SUB files. I have lots of variable framerate videos with SRT subtitles.
