  1. I have a problem with converting my DivX files to SVCD, basically whatever program I use (CCE, TMPG, DVD2SVCD) to do the job, I end up with SVCDs which the audio is about 1 or 2 seconds early.

I thought this was a problem with the conversion at first because when I play the avi back on WMP it is perfectly in sync. Recently though I have found that maybe the problem is a bit earlier in the process than that. When I play the original avi file with the DivX PLAYA it is also out of sync.

Very odd, so I downloaded AVInfo and used that to look at the file, this time it is perfectly in sync.

What is going on? How can the file be in sync with some programs and out of sync with others, and how the hell can I do what I've been trying to do for months, namely convert all of these lovely DivXs into SVCD and watch them on my big TV?

I am running win XP, athlon XP 1600+, 320Mb, loads of disk space. I've got the new DivX codecs installed (V5), and the file I'm trying to convert is a v3 DivX.

    Any suggestions?

  2. What you need to do first before you start is to export the audio out.

Use Vdub to do this job.

Then on tmpgenc, use the divx as your video source and the wav file that vdub converted as your audio source. Problem solved.

  3. thats what I have been doing, it's what AVI2SVCD does as well. Stilll no joy. As I said the problem is that the file is out of sync before I even begin with some programs, just not with all. Weird.
