  1. Hi,

I have tried to use BD Rebuilder to re-encode MKV file (1920 X 1080, around 10gb size) to a BD-25GB bluray format but suffer
video distortion and motion artifact problems. The video will pause and skip. I have selected Automatic Quality Setting and Default Mode. It took 5 hours to re-encode the video. May I know what have caused this problems? Any other free software better
and faster than this one without any problem?

    Thanks for your reply.

Help us out by posting what MediaInfo says about your problematic MKV.

You gave us almost no information at all. Nevertheless, if I had to guess, I'd say the problem likely is the source file.
    Pull! Bang! Darn!

  4. Thanks a lot for you guys' reply.
I will try to download MediaInfo and try to learn how to use it and post the MKV File.
However, if I use Tsmuxer to convert the MKV file to bluray format, it has no problem at all.
The Original MKV file is around 10gb, the purpose for me to use BD Rebuilder is to create a bluray file around 23gb so I can
make use the full capacity of the 25gb disc. But I have no luck. There is a lot of improvement in the video department but only letdown is
the motion artifacts that trouble me.
Is bdtoavchd better than BD Rebuilder?

    Thanks.

Try using higher quality settings in BD Rebuilder. Turn off the Automatic Quality setting and use the Highest (very slow) setting.

There is no real advantage to increasing the size of the video when going to Blu-ray however. If you like the version made with tsMuxeR, use it.

BDtoAVCHD also uses the X264 encoder, so quality depends on the settings you use.

  6. Hi,

May I know what is VBV Buffer Size, Mux VBR and MUX CBR in Tsmuxer ?
I have used BDtoAVCHD to re-encode the MKV video file but the subtitles did not show in the m2ts file after video encoding (original MKV file contains pgs subtitles), so I used Tsmuxer to remux the single m2ts file again with pgs subtitle into bluray format with new BDMV and Certificate folder and I have set VBV buffer size to 1500. The video did suffer motion artifact (skipping frames/slow motion problem). May I know is it something to do with the setting of VBV/VBR/CBR in the Tsmuxer?
The original m2ts file (encoded by BDtoAVCHD) does not have motion artifact problem if played on computer.

    Thanks for your reply.
