Hello, guys! We recently filmed a video at sunrise, which is very important for me. We used a Sony A7s as the main camera on a tripod. Unfortunately, we set up the focus to auto and it was adjusting itself several times throughout the video. I find it disturbing for the overall flow, as it looks like somebody is playing with the zoom. Could anybody explain how I can fix these problematic segments with Vegas 13.0?

The other issue is, that we used another camera as 2nd for the close-ups, having the main one pointing at the sunrise and the 2nd one at the sides, the light and colors are different. Please suggest, which camera's colors to use as a baseline for color grading the video a bit.

This is the link to the video:

Thank you for taking the time to look into this. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Have a great day!

  2. Honest answer -- you don't fix them. You delete them and/or reshoot the parts you messed up. There's nothing here so unique it can't be redone. In addition to not using autofocus you should also not use autoexposure. Count it as valuable lessons learned.

set it up as a multicam video in vegas, color correct them(lots of tutorials online search for them), and then make sure to use the 2nd cam everywhere the 1st goes into autofocus seeking.
