I 've seen this on my Ariston 2000. SVCDs from my PV256 MPEG capture card are superb but if I encode SVCD from a DV camcorder using TMPGenc I get this problem.

I put previous postings on VCD (didn't get much response unfortunately) and I also posting here.

I'd also like to know the reason. I suspect there is something a bit non-standard somewhere but I can't say definitly whether it TMPGenc or it's my DVD player.

    Keep looking.

I have the same Problem as described for SVCDs with a VCD currently made.
The picture is flickering as hell. I seem to have 3 times the same picture always. Audio however is fine, but this cant be the clou
Even after unmountig the CD from the player, the picture (which is the blue Screen) is still flickering until I inject a working VCD.

I use a Pioneer DV 340. As this is my first Problem ever with the Pio I tried to find out what is the reason. After a lot of search around Forums, I didnt find a sufficiant answer!

Please report to me If anyone could figure this problem out.

  6. Again me,

I have found the reason for my problem with flickering
It was quiet a stupid question I asked

My only problem was that I had to set my TV for this special VCD from PAL to NTCS.
This is because the Framerate ist 29 on NTSC an only 25 on PAL.

Seems not to have been the Problem posted first...

    regards
