Hi all.
I'm looking to buy a 7-pin to 4-pin Y/C 358 (JVC 358) cable to connect my JVC pro SVHS deck to the s-video input on my capture card. They seem to be unavailable online and no response via alibaba.com. I am willing to pay $35 plus $5 shipping.
Please, if anyone has one they'd be willing to sell, PM me. Thanks!

You likely will not be able to find it.
Just solder your own connection!
Should be a half an hour job, including safety margin:

Good luck!

There are a couple of problems with the instructions you linked to. One is that, unlike the person who posted the instructions, my deck has a TBC with component outputs where the soldered outputs would go. The second is that the instructions, unless I'm mistaken, seem to be for connecting one JVC pro deck to another via BNC cables and not to an s-video input on another device.

I think he was mainly suggesting that you could build your own cable using the identified pinouts.
You could do some test captures via composite and if you decide you like the output of the deck, invest in a component capture card instead of an ancient single-purpose cable. Just another idea.
