I guys, I just got a Panasonic DVD-RV27 from Target for $149. It's a brand new model that just came out in March. So far it's working fine for me. I can play my MP3 CD-RW's and I like the navigation. It also plays the DivX movies that I transcoded to DVD+RW, but only after I change the bit setting on the drive as described here http://www.dvdplusrw.org/resources/bitsettings.html#pc. What's interesting is that it explicitly says in the manual that it won't play DVD+RW but changing that bit setting makes the drive burn it like it's a regular DVD-ROM. It says it supports DVD, CD, VCD, CD-R/RW, DVD-R, MP3, and WMA.
Has anyone else used this player yet and can provide any feedback?
So far I'm likin' it, but I'm wondering if any surprises are awaiting.
