ebay - and lost password

hi again. its been a while since i last signed on to ebay. probably around 2004 or 2006. last purchase was a laserdisc player. however, all those purchases ago were done on another computer/hdd and back when i was still running windows 98 gold and dial-up connection and different internet provider for dial-up which is long out of service.

there is something that want to get off of ebay but i can't recall my password. and my user id i'm not sure. i know the first part of it for sure. i think i can remember the rest.

questions..
what would anyone savy in these things recommend to me to get back my service ? but without calling anyone.
and, i purchased two $50 ebay cards (on impulse) about 4 plus years ago. are those expired ?

IIRC All users had to change their pwds a year or so ago due to a wee hack.

The other issue is that pwds are typically sent to the email addr you registered the account. So if that has changed.......

If it has not changed there should be a page on the site for pwd recovery but that, for reason stated above, might not now help.

if what you said is true, that all passwords ( and userid's ? ) had to be changed, then maybe i can no longer obtain it.

i'm pretty sure i recall my user id, and did try to search for it via find a member but it seems that someone has taken that one. if i recall the id correctly.

just to clarify, do you mean only one's password had to be changed ? or both password and user id ?

if not user id, then i still have a chance to recover it, maybe.

No. My ebay ID has not changed - that is your account. But it was recc to change the pwd due to the security issue.
