Hi, I'm just looking for a program and a way to simply edit some subtitles by literally delaying/removing certain lines, but at the same time maintain the fonts and positions of the subtitles when I save them. However, I'm really new to this sort of thing and was hoping for some help if anyone would be willing to impart their knowledge.

What kind of subtitles? . Ass/ssa? Image sub/sup subtitles?

Oh, okay, I tried subtitle edit, but the subs all came out the same font as well as the subtitles in positions not at the bottom were not even there after I did the edit and saved.
I'll try Aegsub then, thanks. -
I'd try Aegisub as well, but if somehow the styles changed from before to after, when all done with the editing you could copy over the styles from one to the other. You'd open the ASS file in Notepad or other text editor and do a copy and paste.
Apparently subs in some position other than at the bottom either disappeared entirely or wound up out of the video and no longer seen? Again, you could open the sub file in Notepad and compare the lines before and after to see what changed. Maybe it was the positioning or maybe they were just entirely removed for some reason. -
Ah, okay, I'll be sure to try that if there's any of the recurring problems, thanks!
