    Hey,

First, and most pressing matter on my mind...

    QUESTION #1:

I tried to multiplex a VBR MPEG-1 movie (Non-standard VCD) in bbMPEG, and I got this weird file that could NOT be burned to VCD, NOR de-multiplexed afterwards, NEITHER could U mux it using the "Use AVG" feature. I had to use "MAX".

OK. Now I've heard that when you do this using TMPGEnc's mux-er, you have to select "Non-Compliant MPEG-1 VCD" or something as the stream, NOT MPEG-1 VBR. bbMPEG is supposed to be better, so I assume I have to select the same "stream type" there. I can select "VCD" and there are lots of little checkboxes for things like VBR, etc. but I'm not sure what to check and what not.

To make a long story short, I have a 352x240 NTSC VCD using MPEG-1 VBR, 112k audio. I do the video in CCE, the audio using TMPGEnc. I want to burn using NERO.

Can someone send me their settings for a non-standard VCD muxing using bbMPEG? I also think I have to set it to mux using AVG... thanks!

    QUESTION #2:

I also need to have a very good solution for cutting/joining some clips. I'll probably use TMPGEnc, set a "Source Range" for each clip, then join them afterwards. But when I have done this in the past (using PowerVCR 2), it will join anything together, but the timescale goes screwy. It TMPGEnc's joiner OK with that? Or is there a better solution out there? (I've also has TMPGEnc's "MPEG tools" crash on me about every time it's used for this, so I have doubts)...

Thanks in advance for any help here...
