  1. Source audio is 5.1 DTS but FFmpeg (in AVSTODVD) audio input is stereo PCM. AC3 output as radio buzzing sound.

If you definitively need to convert only 3 minutes, you can cut that portion of the souce title with Avidemux and then feed AVStoDVD with the new small mkv. Doing that, the DTS track will be retained as well.

  3. @Mark22

input audio is pcm_s16le because the AviSynth script frameserves raw audio to FFmpeg. That's normal. Buzzing sound from the resulting AC3 is not normal

Could you post the complete AVStoDVD project log file?

  5. From the log file there are 2 minor issues:

    1. You have installed both ffdshow and LAVFilters as decoders. This may lead to a redundancy in the directshow decoding chain. Check with 'Tools'/'Build DirectShow Filters Graph' if the source title is decoded by either ffdshow or LAVFilters but not both. If both decoders appear in the filters graph (audio path), I suggest you to uninstall one of them

    2. You have selected FFmpeg+Aften instead of the default Wavi+Aften. Any reasons behind this choice? Have you tried with Wavi+Aften?

He can change merit and as such keep them both in system (it is useful sometimes).

  12. Hi Mark22

    the graph is perfect.

Going back to your project log file, I have noticed that you have trimmed just 3 minutes of the whole title. Hence audio re-encoding is forced by AVStoDVD, neverthless the source audio is DVD-compliant or not. In your case the DTS audio track should be recognized as DVD-compliant by AVStoDVD.

    1. Have you tried to convert the complete source title? The DTS audio track should be kept and the audio issue would be avoided.

    2. If you definitively need to convert only 3 minutes, you can cut that portion of the souce title with Avidemux and then feed AVStoDVD with the new small mkv. Doing that, the DTS track will be retained as well.

    3. If yuo still get troubles, please upload the mkv somewhere (zippyshare, dropbox, mediafire, ...), to be tested.
