The movie has no flaws when watched in a standalone- nor a computer-dvd. But when I try to copy rip it with smartripper ot vstrip, it freezes at the same point, because of a CRC error in the first large VOB. I've copied the others so it's only that one left. How the hell do I get that VOB of the DVD??

first...make sure the disc surface is clean and has no scratches...
second, it could be that the first vob file is bigger than the standard 0.99 gig.....smartripper may not be able to handle that...the latest dvddecryptor handles >0.99 gig vob files like a charm (remember to go into the options and ENABLE MULTI-ANGLE PROCESSING)
