  1. There are a few dvds I have come across that when I try 2 rip them it comes up with a crc error.
I use dvd shrink and dvd decrypter, and about 5 to 7% into it, it has a crc error and stops.
I cant seem to get around this, IT'S KILLING ME !

DVD Decrypter hasn't been updated in a handful of years, so it's unable to handle the newer DVD protection schemes. Use a more-recently updated ripper like DVDFab HD Decrypter. You can also install AnyDVD and continue to use DVD Decrypter with that.

DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypters decryption engine is very old. With newer DVDs you need to use something like DVDFab HD Decrypter or AnyDVD & AnyDVD HD or you may commonly get those errors.

    And welcome to our forums.

Despite the fear of replying to another 1 post wonder.....

Are they pressed (store bought dvd's) or dvdr's (home recorded or burned dvd's) ?

I don't think i have ever come across any pressed dvd's that gave a "crc" error specifically.....

  5. Thanks guys, I will try dvdfab hd decrypter. It will be GREAT if it works!
Will I still use dvd shrink to compress it?
I use convertXtoDvd 3 to burn it. Hope it all works
I will repost with results when I give it a try, Thanks

Once it's properly decrypted, you can use just about any program that can handle a decrypted VIDEO_TS folder, including Shrink.
