Change mp4 pitch ?

Hello & Thanks ,Sometimes the music videos on youtube are off pitch, for example:

Audacity can change the pitch in semitones (half-steps) ,
but the pitch is less off than a half-step .
ie., if the note is of by 50% of a half-step ,
whether I go up or down a half-step , its still off by 50% .


Is there a software (freeware?) that can do this ?

Audacity can change the pitch by any amount, not just semitones. Enter a decimal value in the "Semitones (half-steps)" field -- like 0.5 to get half a half-step. Or you can enter a decimal value in the "Percent Change" field.

Probably the quickest way not involving any re-encoding is to put it in a mkv container using mkvmergegui. You can then add the extra soundtrack and untick the original within the mp4 file. mkvmergegui will remux it for you.

Hmm...Ok,
I used video2video (v2v) to turn myfile.wmv into myfileV.mkv
Then with mkvmergegui, i extracted myfileV.mkv into myfile.h264 . (just the video)


I then used Audacity to create changedPitch file (from myfile.wmv) into myfileA.wma . (just the audio)

I tried turning them both into .mkv files ,
but mkvmergegui will only accept 1 mkv file at a time.


Pls, how can I now merge myfile.h264 and myfileA.wma ?

Yes it does , Thanks .But it sometimes crashes: win7 x64 .

Wavosaur also does a good job , but its very slow .

I think you mean the video is not re-encoded. The new audio track is a re-encode. Is there a way to change the audio pitch in the MKV without re-encoding the audio?
