  1. Apologies for being a noob, I have tried to research but I am unsure of where to turn next.

I can successfully download the videos I want using RTMPExplorer, smaller videos (around 30s) appear perfect.
However, when I download a longer video (around 7-8 minutes), it appears choppy on playback.

I read my hardware could potentially be an issue, but I think I should be okay in that area..
    GPU: Radeon HD 7970
    CPU: AMD 8-core FX-8120
    RAM: 16GB

I realize my hardware is a little old but I feel it should be competent enough to download a stream through RTMPExplorer. If not, is there a way to download larger files in smaller chunks so that they are not choppy? I could then use a video editor to add the clips together..

I doubt your hardware is the problem. You are just downloading the stream and it doesn't require any faster computer.

Have you tried play the video with different players? Vlc media player, Potplayer, mpchc. Same problem?

    Choppy how? Every second?

  3. Choppy as in it appeared a few frames were skipped every second.

I was originally viewing on VLC, on your recommendation I installed Potplayer and the issue seems to have gone away.

Thanks for your help, I should have tried multiple players before posting. I will have to try to convert this file and make sure the issue does not reappear..
