The new Beyonwiz model T3 PVR is due to be released this April. It will record up to 8 programs simultaneously - see article here http://www.channelnews.com.au/home_cinema/OCIMNKLN-new-media-players-allows-8-programs...-recorded.aspx
It records all Australian digital TV stations as normal TS format files with the addition of separate index files that allows for quick navigation.

Hmm any chance US cable companies will get a hold of this?
I just got the newest 4 tuner model from comcast and like it quite a bit. (well its 4+1 since you can watch live tv while recording 4 shows simultaneouslY).
I wouldn't mind doubling that experience.
Question though - what about storage space?
(edit - oh is it designed for ota only?)Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
Storage is from zero (record to network) to 4TB. It is designed basically for off air but this might have a video line in haven't seen all the specs yet as some of the earlier models do.

If it does not support HbbTV it will not be worth a pinch of poo. Freview Plus is set for release in May and all the catch up tv will be HbbTV.

I believe it does support HbbTV without all the restrictions of "freeview" according to a post on the BW forum
te]Will it be capable of streaming the new IPTV content being mooted for Freeview+?
I don't know what Freeeview+ is cooking up, but given that they have historically just re-used technology from other markets, they will probably go with HbbTV, which the T3 already supports. Without any silly Freeview limitations.
