You have Keeping original video (no reencode) in both log files. Do you happen to have the line FORCE_NOENCODE=1 in your configuration/ini file? If so, remove it.
You can also add the line FORCE_ENCODE=1 to make the program re-encode the video....it won't check first to see if it will fit without processing the video. Just remember to remove it after working with this one movie.
By the way, why are your input sizes so different with the same movie?Last edited by Kerry56; 13th Mar 2014 at 19:05.

I have seen encodes end up too big due to what I think is a bug that gets triggered when you remove some of the audio and/or subtitle tracks. I've always found that if I keep all the audio and subtitle tracks, I never have this problem. If nothing else works, try putting any audio and subtitle tracks you removed back in, re-encode, and I bet it stays below 25 GB.

The second rip was full disc.
I found the FORCE_NOENCODE=1 included by default in the config/ini file with this new version 0.46.14
I don't see any setting like this checked in the setup file. -
I think I found a problem in the changes log:
Updated logic so FORCE_NOENCODE will apply to
BD-5/9 sources as well as BD-25/50 as long as
no other user setting (such as resizing, ivtc,
filters, etc.) overrides it. -
Since your encode is to BD25,try using HighspeedBD25 mode, turn off CRF.

Interesting. I have the latest version, but that line is not in my config file.
If you are doing a movie only backup instead of a full one, and you manually remove any extras you don't want (extraneous audio and subtitles at this point), then removing the force no-encode line should work well for you.
And doing a two pass encode instead of CRF should give more accurate size output. -
