    Hi,

So I've tried Handbrake and RipBot264. (edit : also tried autoGK) they made my 4gGB file less than 1GB and this really influenced the quality.
I want to burn a set of files too bluray. the last 4GB is 26MB to big....leaving it off wastes space.
I have shrunk with Xilisoft software, but this is not freeware/shareware and I hope there is a nice program out there that
I can tell to recode it a bit so it is 30MB smaller.

read further on site...found uncropMKV so will try that in the new day.

Also, is there a dummy page where all bitrates are explained? (and suggestions for good bitrates to have for hd quality).

I also have 100GB of holiday footage to sort...my JVC made files that look the structure of a bluray. easy viewer/editor/stitcher?

AND.....I am impressed that this site is still active! I looked at it more than 10 years ago for the first time!

    thanks

    Robert

  2. You could use a program VideoRedo to cut out some ads or end credits. That would leave the rest of the video unchanged.
