There's a quicktime streaming video i'd like to save to my hard-drive. Having loaded the video from the link, it opens Quicktime 5 pro and plays it. I then went to 'Save As' and it saves to a .mov file which is about 1kb. When i click on the said .mov, it brings up the player and starts streaming the video. How do i save the file permanantly onto my hard-drive so i can then convert to mpeg?
Thanks

The best way I found was to use StreamBox VCR to capture (rip) the streaming MOV to my hard drive.
See http://forum.vcdhelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=85218 for more info to get a streaming .MOV to mpeg/avi

How do i load the .mov file into streambox, i've tried opening it but it does nothing. Is there anyway to find the direct link to the stream from the 1kb .mov link file?

URL Snooper will do the job on finding the actual URL to the streaming MOV file

URLsnooper has trouble with .mov links... post the website that the movie is located at in this forum:

we're the best at capturing streaming media. -
You can also try uopening the file with notepad or or text only program and look for the URL yourself. 9 out of 10 times I'm able to suck the actual video file off the internet this way.
