I recorded some TV programmes recently, all about Concorde (irrelevant extra information!), and copied them from my TV DVD recorder to a Verbatim DVD+R disc.
When I put this in my laptop it shows files on the disc that come to 7.62GBs. If I copy the contents to my hard drive, the same - the folder is 7.62GBs (there are six VOB files of 1,040,384KB plus the 'usual' accompanying files).
Where's the error? It's definitely a single 4.7GB capacity DVD. It can't hold 7.62GBs..

Yes, disk was finalised...
Well, I never saw this before and I've burned hundreds and hundreds od DVDs in my time. It's a bog-standard Verbatim 4.7GB DVD+R - I buy them in spindles of 100. -
Multiple directory entries refer to the same data on the disc. This isn't uncommon. It's like a 100 page book with a table of contents that reads: Chapter 1 pages 1-100, Chapter 2 pages 1-100. If you add up the pages of each chapter it comes to 200.

OK, thanks.
If I wanted to burn the VOB folders I copied from the DVD to my hard drive back to another DVD, would I still be able to use a 4.7GB disk then?
