What program to use to burn my avchd video to a DVD usable in a DVD player?

I have tried to use Wondershare DVD Creater, which says it will do the job, but every time it gets to the end, to start burning the DVD it faults out. I have contacted Wondershare but no answers. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong or can you tell me of a better program to do the job, without having to pay an arm and a leg. Thank you very much for any and all help.

did you look in the tools section here? there are a few to try. multiavchd is one. avstodvd is another.

[edit] just remember you need to convert it to SD dvd spec for it to play in a dvd player. that's 720x480 mpeg-2 authored to dvd.

If you are looking for free tools might freemake video converter work.

I'm not sure how well avstodvd work with avchd sources.

AVStoDVD works ok with AVCHD sources. It sometimes bogs down on DTS HD MA audio from blu ray.
