    Say you have a HD video of 1280 by 720 or higher and you know that all computers don't have the muscle to play HD videos. So should you then create a lower quality video or does Youtube do that automatically somehow?

    And what about things like Youtube videos on cellphones. What quality would I need to create the video in order to be picked up by a cellphone?

    YouTube creates a whole range of videos in differing resolutions and bitrates from the single video you upload.
