I am finding it difficult searching for guides for downloading WebEx video streaming(with the files extension .wrf) as there are not much written about it on the internet.
I would be grateful if somebody can point me to the right direction.
For an example, please follow the link below, click on one of the two on the list and randomly fill in the disclamimer.
Many thanks.
Regards,
Ed

Being that a very proprietary format, you may not find much in the way of converter information. A player is here: http://support.webex.com/support/downloads.html

 Some discussion of conversion: http://www.moviecodec.com/topics/9826p1.html

 And welcome to our forums.

Camtasia Studio(recorder) should be able to record it live on screen, though not ideal but I guess it will have to do as nobody seems to know anythig about downloading WebEx Streaming, which is a shame.
But many thanks for the effort.

	Soultion!
It was my last attempt in search of a way to download a WebEx streaming where out of desperation, I had a final check at the Temp folder and to my surprise found what I wanted =)
During streaming, WebEx will make a copy of the video/audio file in windows temp folder with extension .tmp
This file will be relatively big and will be the most recent file (name format ~WT381.tmp) created in this folder (arrange folder view by modification). Once file has stop increasing in size, copy and paste file accordingly changing file extension to .wrf
Note that this file will be deleted from Temp folder after WebEx Player is closed ( perhaps Due to windows settings or WebEx instruction??)
In anycase, I am very happy with this =)

	Hi,

I streames a WebEx video and looked for .tmp file in Temp folder, as mentioned above. I didn't find any such file. However, Webex made a folder which had a .Wav file and a number of .DAT and. IDX files. When I play the .WAV file in Windows Media player I can hear the audio of the recording but I can't see the video. I tried opening the .DAT file but Windows Media player doesn't recodnize the format. How can I use these files to see the complete recording (audio+video). Or is there any other alternative?

 Many Thanks

it's not a video file or at least not a playable one. nothing is 1596 x 114058. the headers are not in the right format. --

Did anyone figure out how to do this?

To recap, I too am trying to download a Webex stream recording so that it is on my hard drive and I can view it offline. During the stream, Webex creates a temp folder with .STD files, .DAT files, .IDX files, and a .WAV file. I copied this to my hard drive so that I can have it permanently even after I close the stream.

The .WAV file has the audio of the entire stream. It is predicted that the .DAT files (which are the largest) contain video information. Is there anyway to view or convert this video? Even if it is just the video itself without the audio synced that would be fine, because we can just put the video and audio in a video editor and export it out.

Since this is a Webex stream and it hasn't been converted to anything, I'm assuming it is still in the proprietary .WRF or .ARF video format that Webex uses. These files can be viewed with the Webex Player or Webex Recording editor. I tried to change the .DAT file extension to .WRF, but Webex Player still couldn't open it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

	ozarka/tps_streamer,

Any luck in playing the wav/dat/idx files together?

I too have the same set of files, and need help in playing the recording appropriately.
