Hi, I was following the directions for newbie conversion from vob to VCD and i have everything made (in regard to smart ripper and dvd2avi) and in the same dir but when i try to open the video source in tmpgenc 2.53 it says the file type is unsupported and wont open the .d2v (i had to view all files just to see the .d2v) I installed the vfapi_install thing it said to also but i just cant get the file to open could anyone help ? the wav opens fine for audio source but i can not get the .d2v open in the video source

well i was able to solve my problem. I had to use dvd2avi 1.76 for my frameserving (make sure vfapi is checked in 1.76) then from there you must have dvd2avi open when loadin the .d2v file for some reasonm if dvd2avi is not open when you try t load the .d2v file, tmpgenc will not see it and you will not be able to load it. Hope that helps.

You can't open D2V files cuz your version of Tmpegnc needs the VFP patch. If you already have it, make sure you have every version of DivX. :)

i had exactly the same proplem. Just fing the offical TMPGenc website and download the newest version. This worked perfectly for me :D

Both TMPGEnc and DVD2AVI must have the VFP plugin installed and "checked".. It's as simple as that...
