I tried to test it but it crashed right after encoding was started.

Edit: It even crashed when I tried to click some elements on the list. It seems to be very unstable.

It might be worth checking out the forum:

    http://forums.vso-software.fr/video-converter-new-f51.html

One user is reporting that after cancelling a conversion, the program then proceeded to delete his video files

    Nice... NOT

Baldrick, I did try it and so far in my opinion it is worthless, That's why I'm asking if anyone else tried it and what their opinion is.

    Hello,

I've just tried the last beta version (1.0.0.29) and haven't get any crash when converting:
    http://forums.vso-software.fr/new-vso-video-converter-alpha-version-is-available-t17272.html

It seems the file deletion issue has been fixed in this version too:
    - 0006922: [Bug] Delete only last converted files when user asked to clean folder (cedric) - resolved.

I don't know why you say it's worthless, it's a video converter and do what it should I think.
Personally I use it to merge all my videos taken with my S3 phone into one single file using timeline
The software allow to rotate only some videos (taken horizontally)

    Regards,

  7. I bought this program not long ago and I'm really satisfied. It converts all the formats of video into the most popular formats. The output format I use the most often is mp4 (for ipad). It facilites a lot my life and I highly recommend this program.

Sounds like yet another spam merchant who has taken an open source free encoder, written a GUI front end for it, and done so incompetently.

They are behind convertxtodvd so they should have some experience with frontends for ffmpeg/mencoder/...

    I liked that!
OP should have read at least user comments in Tool section here before asking.
Does VSO Video Converter goes some few extra miles with extra capabilities?
Some tools in VH's Tools Section -> Video Encoders / Concerters can definitely do much better job for free.

It just requires little time to read users comment and particular guide before selecting and trying out any new tool. Most of the time many devlopers of such free tools are also available here to offer their help and expertise.

enim, If you can show me where this is in the tool section I would read it, I couldn't find it but apparently you did, I do realize there is free tools but I wasn't asking how to convert any type of video I was just asking opinions on a new software program as stated in post #1, The reason I say it's worthless is because of the time it takes and the size and quality of the output, Now I realize it's new so I'm sure they still have bugs to work out and they will get it right as their program convertxtodvd is a great program in my opinion.
