I have been editing my home videos & burning to DVD for a few years with no problems (well yes we all have the occasional hick-up).
As the cost of a Blu Ray writer & Discs are now reasonable I decided to buy one. I made up a Blu Ray project with 5 chapters. I used Corel VideoStudio (my present version is pro 6 but I have used all versions since Ulead days) to create each Chapter.
I then as usual used Corel Moviefactory 7 to burn the Blu Ray disc.
Although the disc worked on my computers it did not work on my Samsung Blu Ray Player.
So not to be beat I used Roxio 2012’s "My DVD" I chose the Blu ray option &, eventually after having to get Roxio to change the format, I burnt the disc.
When I played the disc all video chapters where there but 2 of the 5 chapters had no sound!. At least I do now know my Samsung Blu Ray Player does play BD-R as I see from some of the posts not all do
Also with the Roxio Disc I had to play each chapter separately rather than just playing all the chapters by just pressing play once, I expect this is just a setting I have missed so will have a look
Both programs saved the video files as M2TS files
As a matter of choice I would like to use the Corel programs as I am conversant with those programs
Has anyone any ideas re any or all these problems?
    All the best
    Stewart

Improperly describing your situation is not helpful. Don't say "DVD writer & Disks" if you really mean Blu Ray writer and discs.

What brand of Blu Ray discs did you use? Are they LTH discs? Some older players don't like LTH discs at all.

I've said before that friends don't let friends use Roxio. Their programs aren't well respected here so you may have trouble finding someone with Roxio experience to guide you. I don't really know anything about Moviefactory either, but it's probably better.
