    any good app out there to edit tv recordings in mpeg2 .ts format

  2. If you don't need frame accurate cuts you can use Mpg2Cut2.

  3. There are several good ones, there are many free ones. I gave up on trying to find an overlap long ago.

    I would unhesitatingly recommend VideoReDo or TMPGencMPEGeditor.

    Someone else can chime in with freebies.

    i have https://www.videohelp.com/tools/VideoReDo but its not free very very good app tho

    Cuttermaran is good freeware and the only free program I have tried that can do frame accurate cuts and smart encoding for MPEG-2 files, if set up correctly. The downside for some is that it requires elementary (demultiplexed) audio and video files as input

    That being said, either one of the VideoReDo editors is well worth paying for to work with recordings from a digital TV tuner card
