  1. Hi, recently my computer's BD drive popped up as a CD drive under Computer. Instead of playing DVD's, it would open up in Windows explorer with the Video_TS folders like a data disc. I think this happened after I plugged in a USB device for a camcorder, but not certain. Has anyone heard of this issue before?

    Specs:
    Windows 7 64 bit
    Sony Vaio Laptop
    BD Reader

I have a virtual drive installed (Daemon Tools) and works normally.

    Thanks in advance.

Adjust the autoplay settings. See for example http://www.techtalkz.com/windows-7/516004-how-configure-autoplay-settings-windows-7-a.html

Or can't you play the dvds/bds?

CD Drive (G:) should say BD-ROM Drive (G:).

Autoplay is pure evil, disable it in all possible ways.

    CD Drive ( G: ) should say BD-ROM Drive ( G: ).
As long as the drive works as expected, doesn't matter what the OS says about it. Certain stupid "features" of Windows remain unfixed since the last century.
