    I thought it was an MPC issue, but switching back to EVR Custom showed that wasn't the case.

    Is there..a setting I can fiddle with in madVR to support HDMI out (to my TV) or does it just not support it?

    Any help would be appreciate.

    It might be a hardware acceleration/overlay issue. Try change the hdmi out to the primary monitor/tv in the graphics/display settings and see how it works.
