What did you burn the new disc with?
What type of discs are you using?
What type of discs does your Blu Ray system accept?

Any error message on your standalone blu-ray player?
    Region code problem?

And I don't see what anydvd has to do with this. If you aren't planning on ripping it and making a copy without region coding.

AnyDVD didn't "remove codes" from your disk. It merely enables your computer to ignore the "codes" present on the disk.
Providing there isn't any wrong Zone/display frequency problems on the BluRay disk (BBC BD Planet Earth for instance is encoded at 50i which makes it unplayable for many North American set top boxes), then either your disk is faulty and your computers drive is better at reading the faulty disk than your set top box, or maybe even the disk is dirty.

A common problem for me is that during handling of the Disc during conversion, rip, viewing, I get finger prints on it and it has this same problem. I don't know why my computer BR player works and my External one doesn't but I'm suspecting some kind of code problem in the external one since it has a couple other weird quirks.

You might check it to see if it has smudges.

Not enough information to really help.

Name the BluRay disc. What region code does it have on the packaging on the back? Samsung players in North America will refuse to touch PAL sources, so if your BluRay is really some kind of PAL or PALish (25 fps) video, that's likely the real problem. IF you name the disc we might be able to determine if it's using some variation on 25 fps.

  9. When was the last time the blu-ray player had a software update?

Either way it's nothing to do with AnyDVD.
