    I`m ripping my dvd`s to vcd and all my dvd`s are pal .....so when using DVD2AVI program do i have to use the setting under audio where it says 48->44.1khz ...if i do what setting do i set it to ...??? ultra high ...???

    VCD requires 44,1 kHz audio, so you have to downsample. You can use dvd2avi's decoder / downsampler or a different one, it is your choice.
    Use "ultra high" for best downsampling quality but slowest performance.

    on a side note, i believe forced film must be turned OFF for all pal dvd rips
