  1. Hi, I am trying to compress and upload videos (basically movies and tv shows) in ps vita compatible version for my website. I've used xillisoft Converted to convert 700 MB movies to PS Vita format but it got like 2 GB. That's a huge file for such a device and to download. what would be the best way to balance quality and size for those files? I'm expecting 300-600 mb for a 700 mb movie. and which tool should I use to convert them. I'm gonna need batch converting facilities. (and i was hoping if I could also include a watermark of my site logo automatically, but that's optional). Here's the documentation for PS Vita video format.

    ------------------X----------------
MPEG-4 Simple Profile Level 3, Maximum 320x240 pixels, AAC
    H.264/MPEG-4 AVC Baseline/Main/High Profile Level 3.1, Maximum 720p, AAC
    -----------------X--------------------------

Thank you for taking time to read this. I'm working not this project totally alone, and the web development is taking much of my time. Little help with the video conversion (in which I'm really such a noob), would be much appreciated.

Lower the video and audio bitrate for smaller file size. You can use a bitrate calculator to calculate the bitrate to use for a specific output file size.

But I don't use xilisoft so I'm not sure where you adjust settings. Maybe you just can set quality settings.

you could try xmediarecode it has a preset for that device and in the video tab adjust the bitrate to the size you need using baldrick's bitrate calc.

I've tried bitrate calculator but sometime the xilisoft can't convert if I give very low bitrate. Which software should I try?
