Have someone on this forum tried to watch this movie on pal TV(european TV). My friend got black/white movie, when he tried to play this movie on his Pioneer-DV343 on a Phillips TV.I`m wondering if the Pioneer-dv444 has the same problem????

I converted LOTR dvd rip to svcd with tmpeg and it worked fine on a pioneer 535 and a samsung dvd player.
I encoded it to ntsc film (23.97 fps), and played it on a pal tv.
how did you do it.
