I've had Video Studio ProX3 on my PC for several years and it has worked fine. Today, however, I updated it with the three free updates available on the Corel site and now the program will not open. The updates appeared to install properly but when I click the icon on my desktop to open it, the Windows 7 circle spins for a while but nothing else happens. I tried to uninstall it using the Windows 7 system and it wouldn't uninstall either.

The Corel site is of no help as they no longer support Video Studio Pro X3. I have used Uline and Corel video editing products for many years and have ProX4 on another PC using Windows 7, 64 bit and have had no problems. I bought this

Would appreciate any suggestions you might have.

someone found a corel "cleaner" on their website to remove stubborn installs. search around for it there and see if it helps. if not maybe use windows restore and go back to a date before you tried to update it.

Party on over to the user forums on the Corel site (assume they still exist) and post your problem there since the guys know these programs inside out.

Your other option - do not know how you achieve this in Win7 - is to do a 'dirty' un-install - delete progam files, user files that are stored (in XP) in My Documents/Application Data and all Registry entries.

Then reinstall the program from your CD
