Corel Video Studio Pro x4 jumps when capturing?

I have just got the trial version as my Ulead SE11 wasnt capturing and sound. X4 captures sound fine as well as visual, but its extremely jumpy when its capturing, like internet streaming. Is this normal? the SE 11 wasnt jumpy at all. Im hoping that once its captured and ive played it back the jumpiness will be non existent

I made a comment in the other topic about this.

A little more detail:

Sound and video is captured in sync. To maintain that sync, as the program must do some encoding on the fly, it will only display certain frames but the sound should appear quite normal.

But if both are jerky on playback then you are dropping frames which is another matter altogether.
