I am compiling a folder of lots a car action stunts from various TV shows and I rip an approximate section using the re-authour mode of DVD SHRINK.....I then go onto use Video-re-do to make the final edit. it works really well with no problems and have literally done over 100 clips.....
However.....I have ripped a clip as per above method, but video-re-do freezes at a point in the clip and crashes.......The strange thing is I can rip another part of the SAME disc using EXACTLY the same method and video-re-do works fine!!!

Can any of you learned chaps suggest the problem or suggest an alternative to video-re-do that I can use for this particular clip

    Thanks

  2. Hard to say but there may be some stream damage.
Try using the QuickStreamFix option in VideoRedo before importing the clip.

Thanks for the reply but it hasnt worked..........I have re-ripped the section a few times now using shrink and still the same happens. I can rip another scene from the same episode, literally minutes away from this and re-do behaves perfeclty!!!

  4. What happens if you re-author the whole show and load it into VideoRedo?
You can clip the waste off the before and after, just leaving the section you want.

I guess I'm confused as to why you're using DVDShrink to re-author first. Wouldn't it be better to just use Videoredo with the uncompressed Video_TS folder and choose the parts that you want to keep?
