Audio out of sync

OK guys, I know this has been asked a thousand times, but I've not found anything yet that has helped me. I'm using Zeallsoft's Super Screen Capture program. I'm using the DivX 6.9.2 Codec for the video at 30 fps and PCM for the audio at 44100 Hz, 16-bit stereo. I have virtual dub and if it was a simple matter of audio displacement, I could fix it. But the audio isn't off the same throughout the video. If I get it lined up at one point, it's still off at a later point. I just recorded a 5.5 min sample and the audio is off by about a 1/2 sec at the beginning and dead on by the end. If I displace the audio - 500 ms in virtual dub, the beginning is dead on and the end is off. I'm at my wits end. I feel my PC is more than capable of doing what I want it to do. I tried emailing Zeallsoft but haven't heard anything back yet. HELP!

Looks like your software is dropping frames as you capture. Unless you know which ones it will be very hard to sync this. You can try opening the audio in Audacity and shrinking it to match, but my guess is it will not work very well.

I've never heard of super Zeallsoft. Many folks who do this kind of thing like Fraps.

It will be interesting to see if Zeallsoft responds to you. Their website hasn't been updated in three years.

Yeah. I downloaded MediaInfo (saw it mentioned in another thread) and although I have the fps set to 30, it says it was actually 24.something. I reduced it to 24 and it says it recorded at 23.045. I'm going to keep lowering it until the loss goes away and see what that does.

Well, that didn't help. No matter what frame rate I chose, it always dropped frames. I hate to have to buy another program, but I don't know what else to do.
