Audio Synching

Hey everybody! How are you doing? I haven't been on here in a very long time. Would anybody be willing to help me sync my footage? Ok so the original footage is a 23.976 anime encode. The other is a H.264 interlaced video with a 30.000 fps. They are both from the same dvd, but the good encode only has spanish audio (23.976). the other has japanese (30.000 fps) audio. I ripped the audio from the bad encode in dgindex. However, when I place it over the 23.976 good encode; it is not in sync. This can't be right as they are both from the same source and shouldn't have any cuts. Any suggestions?

I don't think you can take the audio from a movie and place it on another as long as the framerate (fps) isn't the same.

As I understand, you want to keep the japanese sound (30 fps) and place it with a 23.976 fps video. Then I guess that you have to convert your 30 fps sound to 23.976 fps sound first. And this can be done with BeSweet or BeSweetGUI. The latter has a option where you can change the framerate on your sound (OTA-area). See the picture.



You can also change it with BeSweet.exe (CLI): -core( -input " " -output " " ) -azid( -c normal -L -3db ) -ota( -norm 0.50 -r 30000 23976 ) bsn( -vbr 0.60).

It is the -r value which converts the sound from 30 fps to 23.976 fps.

BTW, you should understand that there are NO dvds that use 30FPS as a framerate, and that could be affecting how things are syncing up. You should be using 29.97 as your NTSC number.
