but been out of doing this stuff for quite a while.

I used to capture then encode episodes of Southpark way back about 11 years ago and that was when I had the time to really fiddle with settings and figure this stuff out, now I'm a little busier and just want to get the job done.

I've got a crapload of DVDs that I have already ripped with dvddecrypter and have been sitting on a hard drive for a while waiting for me to get to encoding them so I can take them with me on a tablet or my android phone and in general on a laptop for travel,,,can anyone recommend a program that can sort out the various episodes on each disc that I have ripped and put them into a separate AVI file for watching?

I'm very familiar with VirtualDub and make time lapse videos with that all the time,,,thoughts for an 'old' guy with this stuff?

Well I'm old too (but who cares) I use Freemake Video Converter (easy to use and quick) for ripping/encoding/converting my dvds, it separates the episodes. I use Virtualdub for my capturing.
