Why the "VUDU" company charges a lot of money to people, then people do not get what the company offers?

My dad paid for an HD movie and gave the box and did not have the movie.
To make matters worse, they say that you can download the movie in HD with a code.
He was lying. You can download the movie by having cpyright.
The only thing you can lose is the less resolution and on top, you can not do anything with the movie. You can not burn it to see it in your house into a TV, only on the computer. That's pay for anything, at any time, the company can take away the movie you paid for, in a format that only they have, and on top, also charge for changing formats. In other words, you pay to test you in what they want to taste and you can remove as they wish.

I think that's fraud by the company to sell an ad and then you get the money, you do not get what you offered.

If you father wants a movie on disc he should buy the video on DVD or BluRay, NOT a download of the video. I haven't heard of any legitimate company in the US or Puerto Rico that currently sells video downloads that can be burned to disc and played anywhere.

It isn't fraud. Amazon Instant Video, Vudu, and iTunes are very clear that they are selling video downloads that can only be viewed on a computer or perhaps on a few other devices tied to the subscriber's account.

Vudu is a commercial streaming service like any other. Costs money. "Downloading" is only considered that in a generic way. It isn't really downloading, it's streaming. So you pay your money, you watch it, you're done, it's gone. Want to watch it again? If it's within a certain time period (usually ~<24 hours) it doesn't cost anything (mainly because it has "downloaded" into your local cache), but after that time period will cost again to watch. No surprise there, no fraud.

If Vudu took your money (and you can verify this?), but you weren't able to stream or see the movie at all, you should be able to contact technical and/or customer support and either get the connection fixed (to watch) or if that doesn't/won't work, get a refund. Only if they refuse to give you a refund when it was clear to all parties that you could not stream your movies, would anything being done here be even close to constituting fraud.

If you are asking for ANYTHING else, you are fooling yourself.
