NEED HELP WITH TMPGEnc!!!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!! NEW TO THIS!!!

Hi everybody

I have a small problem. I just downloaded "A Beautiful Mind" from Kazaa. I can view the movie perfectly in ".avi" file format. It can hear the tone and I can see the picture on Windows Media Player. However, when I use TMPGEnc to encode it, I can't see any pictures; Its all black. Once I encoded the file, I could hear sound, but no picture....I'm sure some of you have had the same problem, please help me out.... Thank you, peace and love everybody :D :P :lol:

I think we need some more information here...
...like the properties of that file you downloaded.
Almost certain it's DivX and then you should try and take a look a the proper guide (how to) for converting DivX > VCD

voodoo take a look at this link http://www.vcdhelp.com/tmpgenc.htm, the problems parts. Make sure u got ALL the codecs mentioned downloaded, if that doesn't work follows instructions for 'Environmental Settings', this should solve problem.
