I am converting some VHS movies to SVCD. I use Ulead DVD Factory to capture the VCR output as AVI. I use TMPGEnc to convert to SVCD MPEG for burning, and either DVD Factory or VCDeasy to burn.
How do I best retain the 5.1/Dolby surround sound track intact? I am not processing it externally, and I seem to be losing the base output before it gets to SVCD. This does not happen to me with a DVD Rip, so I must be making an error in the capture process somewhere, but I don't know where.
Any help would be appreciated.
