  1. I buy Philips 40PFL5507 led tv and external hard disc.
I have some 3D sbs video files in mkv that he plays automatic, but some 3D sbs mkv files I must add manually. I don't find difference between those files.
How to enable all mkv 3d sbs files to play automatic?

You were lucky that you even got it to do ONE Sbs automatically! Seriously, previously only 3DBD had that capability. Are you sure it DID switch automatically? Because that would be the first instance I had heard of any doing that...

  4. Yes, I am sure. Everytime I play that first mkv it played automatically in 3D.

Can you upload 5-10 second clips (using a non-reencoding editor)?

Please, only upload EXTRACTED clips of original media, not re-encodes or converted files...

  9. I extract clip from MKV with mkvmerge.
Also, I play again this little video clip that I uploaded of a few seconds on my TV to make sure it works and also the TV automatically switches to 3D.
And when I convert dts with Popcorn MKV AudioConverter to Ac3 (I don't touch video file) TV still automatically switches to 3D.

    This is the file:

the file doesn't turn on 3d on a samsung plasma and it doesn't appear to be in any way special compared to other sbs mkv.

On Philips 40PFL5507 this file really play automatic in 3D. If someone don't believe I can make a video clip on youtube.

Before also some 3 weeks back argument concerning this came in this forum and nobody has got answer. I think the answer lies with that talented person who created this mkv.

  13. Also I try tonight that MKV to switch to 2D and I got normal 2D picture, not double picture (side by side) like other mkv files have.
That man who create mkv are genius.

Well, what do you know?!!! I stand corrected (and amazed).

I DL'd the file last night and ran it directly (via USB Flashdrive) on my LG 3DTV (internal player app), and it actually did automatically go into (the correct) 3D mode! So we know at least that it is correctly designed, and that there exist some hardware players that correctly display it. That's good news!

I'd love to see the OTHER file that didn't go into 3D mode, as an alternative to do a compare against...

    True, but unhelpful.

Some of our members may object to downloading entire films they did not purchase. If you want to make extracts available of files that don't work, some of our members may be willing to examine them. Personally, I do not care if your problem gets solved or not, but you may care.

since it's not using the blu-ray 3d signal about all that's left is the matroska header. some lg tvs must be able to intrepret the mkv header codes. it certainly doesn't work on a samsung. you could try using mkv merge v6.0 on a couple other 3d mkvs and re-write the header codes.
