I purchased JRiver Media Center 16 and it won't run on Windows 8. I have a great many videos that I want to preview and either move to other directories or delete. I used JRiver Media Center to do that when I was on Windows 7.
I don't have the 24 bucks right now to upgrade to 18 which supports 8. Is there a free alternative to this. I want to be able to point the program to my video directories and browse through them and view the videos and delete the ones I don't want. i need to preview the videos so I can see what they are.
If I can't find a free one guess I need to get the upgrade.

Yes it does show an icon in the preview tab but I want to be able to run through the video to make sure I want it. I don't think a single icon would be a good indicator it I want to keep it or not. This is not mainstream stuff or tv shows or what not this is other stuff like from youtube and such

I see. Maybe some other media center software like xbmc, mediaportal. But they might be too complex.
