  1. Hello, all. I'm posting here today to ask if anyone knows about AviSynth development. I haven't seen any updates since 2011, and that was just an alpha. I'm hoping someone will be able to tell me it's not dead, and that there are still some dev's working on it. As time progresses, new versions of Windows will inevitably be released, and along with them, new bugs in existing programs.

If there is a new version in the works, I'm not in any hurry for it to be released, as it will come out when it does, but I just hope one actually does. If not, I hope someone, somewhere will create a new fork, as a continuation of the original, with new features and (more importantly) bug fixes.

If anyone knows anything, it would be nice if someone lets me know.

  2. Avisynth has 1 active developer (and he's not really that active) . If there is a specific bug , then post it in the thread . There seems to be more interest in vapoursynth from a developer standpoint

Vapoursynth is being actively developed by a handful of developers - it might be the future . Currently there is a process of transferring over some avisynth filters

Although development has been slow, there is a new official 2.6 alpha and a relatively new unofficial 2.6 mt.
