Converting .ASF

I'm trying to convert an .asf to either MPG or AVI.

Virtual Dub 1.3 loads it, but when I try a conversion (or do a preview) all I get is the sound.

TMPGenc crashes after running a few seconds. If I try to set a frame range or any other processing it crashes.

Graph Editor does the job, but the audio goes way out of synch within a minute or so.

All other operations of these programs seem to be working fine with few (if any) crashes, so I don't think it's my machine.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Check the AVI for bad frames, before you do anything else.
