  1. I've created a few vcds, but recently I use both Nero and TSCV to try and get menus. But with after I use both programs when I put it in the DVD player it wouldn't work. I now VCDs work with my DVD player because VCD without menus work. Any suggestions?

Are you waiting for it to auto play?

It won't with a menu. You should see the files listed, just press the corresponding number on remote to play file.

No, when I put in the disc in it says no playable disc.

Using TSCV (or whatever it's called - 8) ) you should get a cue/bin file. If Nero has problems using it (be sure to use their latest version) then use CDRdao or even WINcdr instead.
If you created your vcd's correctly, with a correct PBC, your dvd should accept them.
You cannot create a vcd2.0 without a PBC (= menu) or a VCD1.x with PBC -> standalone dvd's wont accept those (not compliant).

Be sure your dvd-player does accept cdr's. Some of those standalone players only accepts dvd !
