Trying to bring in an image into Movie Studio 10 to use in a menu. It's a jpeg from CS5 in sRGB. When I bring it into import media and then the time line the color drastically changes. Should I use a different color space or format in CS5 to use on imported image? Thanks!

  2. In what way does the color change drastically ?

jpeg should work fine - sounds like a bug.

You can try png or tiff as well as a workaround for now

I don't think movie studio has color management, so don't bother embedding a profile

Nope. Didn't help. Tried png, tiff and jpeg all have a yellowish green cast. Tried 4 different images. Even tried bringing into MS12 demo. Same thing greenish yellow. MS has a couple fx color corrections but not even close to sensitive enough.

  4. To clarify - Is this photoshop CS5 and vegas movie studio 10 ?

People do this everyday without problems in those programs, seems like it's isolated to your setup or computer . I would suggest uninstall/reinstall but you already tried a different demo version - and that should rule out old installation issues

Are you viewing on the same monitor for both ? graphics card calibration ? how about viewing the image in another application , even windows picture viewer or a web browser - does it appear ok?

What about other known images that you have saved before (maybe photos from an old camera shoot), how do they look in photoshop, vs. movie studio vs. other application ?

Sorry, yes I meant Photoshop CS5 and Movie Studio Platinum10. I only use one monitor. Not sure how to calibrate a graphics card. I am using a NVIDIA GTS 240. I used the images in ProSHow Producer slideshow software and also no problem with Windows viewer. And I tried several additional images in that i have used before without problems in other software so the only problem seems to be bringing an image into MS10/12.

  6. That would suggest an issue specific to movie studio ... But many people use that and import stills like png, jpg, without issues...

Sorry, not sure what's going on . Maybe you can contact Sony for support
