This is a legit post. I'm not a shill for GoPro.

As you may know the GoPro 3 came out recently, and it's very expensive compared to previous models. There are three versions of the new model. Only the "Black" Edition is groundbreaking, that's $399.

I mention this because GoPro is dumping the "HD Hero 2" models at Sam's and Costco for $199 and that includes the wifi module free. If you're already invested in GoPro 2 gear (like me) you might not likely want to invest in the 3 model because it's smaller and the cases are different.

Also, all the GoPro 2 accessories are 30% off on the website. And when it's gone it's gone. AFAIK, that's what it looks like. They're closing the door on that chapter, but it's a good product still.

It's a bit complicated to understand, so here's my story.

I already own a HD Hero and an HD Hero 2. Also, I own the wifi bacpac and remote. So I bought a second bacpac on Amazon for $45 just now because the price is marked down. So now I have two cameras working off the one remote, and I can shoot multicam. Kapeesh?

Instead of going forward to Model 3, and then my first GoPro would end up in the closet.

Anyway, check it out and do your own study if it works for you. For around the same $400, you can get two HD Hero 2's, then look for the remote online, or order from gopro. The Hero 2's BOTH will work with the free App (Apple and Android) out of the box, nothing more to buy. You don't really need the remote unless you're skydiving or underwater.
